How It Works

This tool gives you four proven note-taking layouts in one place; pick the method that fits the material, write in plain text or Markdown, and everything saves automatically to your browser under the selected class. Nothing is sent to a server, so your notes stay private on your device.

The four methods
  • Cornell method: a two-column layout with a cue column for keywords and questions, a wider notes column for detail, and a summary box at the bottom; great for lectures and self-testing.
  • Outline: a single hierarchical list using dashes and indentation; best for structured, sequential content like textbook chapters.
  • Mind map: a central idea with radiating branches and sub-branches; ideal for brainstorming and seeing connections between concepts.
  • Charting: a grid of columns and rows for comparing categories side by side; useful for history, biology and any topic with parallel facts.
Markdown support

Type Markdown in any text area and toggle the preview to see it formatted. Supported syntax includes:

  • # Heading, ## Subheading
  • **bold**, *italic*, `code`
  • - list item and indented sub-items
  • > quote and [link](https://example.com)
Saving per class

Add each class or subject, then switch between them from the dropdown; every template keeps its own notes for the selected class. Because the data lives in your browser's localStorage, clearing site data or switching devices will not carry the notes over. Use "Download .md" to keep a portable copy.

Tip: Notes save the moment you stop typing; there is no save button to remember.
